Forklift technician

We are currently looking for a forklift technician to join our dynamic and passionate team. We are looking for someone who is motivated, has a positive attitude, is resourceful, but above all, someone who enjoys working. Both on the road and in the workshop, technicians carry out inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and any repairs necessary to ensure that the units are in good working order.

Job description

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts at customer sites and/or in the workshop;
  • Respond to emergency calls and diagnose the causes of failures;
  • Determine the nature and extent of repairs required;
  • Perform installations, adjustments, and repairs;
  • Check the quality of the work performed to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and complete reports accurately;
  • Keep your service truck clean;
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, companies, or suppliers and analyze needs in order to determine repairs and estimated time required.
  • Follow up closely with your manager.

Job requirements

  • Be enthusiastic, motivated, and enjoy working;
  • Good team spirit;
  • Good knowledge of general mechanics (automotive, agricultural, heavy machinery);
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Good physical condition;
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose in order to identify the nature of a problem.

Working conditions

  • Competitive hourly rate based on your experience (from $30 to $45)
  • Stable 40-hour work week;
  • Hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday;
  • Work within a dynamic team that supports each other and is not afraid of hard work;
